Shelby turns 2!

Shelby turned 2 on May 13th! It is amazing how quickly the time has gone by. She loves to read, talk, sing, dance, watch movies (like her dad), color, and play. Her favorite movies are the Shrek and Barbie movies, and of course Disney. We think she is pretty darn smart - she knows her colors, can count to ten, and is learning her ABCs. She reads (or has memorized) a few of her favorite books like "The Foot Book" by Dr. Seuss and "Old Hat, New Hat" by Stan and Jan Berenstain. We love her so much and she makes us so happy. Happy Birthday Shelby!

Here are a few pictures from her birthday party (my family got together for dinner, presents, and cake and ice cream).

Shelby was playing hide and seek. We were waiting for her to pop up and say boo and it was taking a while. We then realized she fell asleep in this position :)

Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day this year was a little more special, since we will be having our second child soon. Dustin was able to change his work schedule so he could spend the evening with me and Shelby. It was a great day.

Easter 2011

Shelby and I spent Easter at my family's house. Dustin had to work - we missed him. We didn't hide eggs outside because it was so windy (that's Taylor for you...). We still had a great time and loved spending time with my family. Here are a few pictures:

Shelby with her Easter basket. She got the movie Tangled and loves it. I think she was more excited about the candy though :).

Decorating eggs. She loved the "magic" crayon (really just a white crayon).

Shelby in her Easter dress, made by Grandma Pennington. It fit perfect! Thank you!

Annual Girls Day

On Saturday April 23 we had my family's Annual Girls Day. This year we stayed in Taylor/Snowflake and spent the day together doing crafts, going out to lunch, and then eating ice cream. We had a wonderful day!

Craft Time - decorating picture frames, piggy banks, and photo boxes.

Shelby, Makellen, and Jordyn dressed up at lunch. We ate at Celebrations...a cute little restaurant in Snowflake. The food was delicious and we had fun shopping around after we ate.

Ice cream at Heritage Antiques and Ice Cream Parlor.

All the girls (except Aunt Marla who had to go back to work).
